Can’t figure out how to get email on your iPhone? Unsure if your web browser is safe from viruses and hackers? DMCC’s new volunteer Computer Tutor, Klaus Gubernator, is now available to help Del Mar seniors navigate challenges and problems with their desktops, laptops, smartphones, or tablets. Give the DMCC office a call or send us an email with your contact information, describe the challenge you’d like to address, and Klaus will get in contact with you to arrange personalized service at a time that works for both of you. Thank you Klaus!
DMCC formed a new group called Life Transitions in Aging: Sharing our Stories. Facilitated by local Marriage and Family Therapists Katie Militello and Denise O’Neil, this group offers seniors the opportunity to open up about their experience of aging and share helpful resources with one another. Life Transitions meets at 2pm on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month in the Del Mar Community Building at 225 9th St. No reservation required, but please call our office if you have any questions.
In the new year DMCC will continue to plan the most relevant and useful programming we can provide to the seniors of Del Mar. In the opening months of 2019, we’re planning a workshop around estate planning and an information session on the new tax laws. Our popular Sunday Salon series, in which seniors gather at a Del Mar home to learn from or be entertained by a prominent Del Martian, will feature Dwight Worden and his bluegrass band. And we’ll have Explorers excursions to new and interesting points of interest.
Don’t miss out! Make sure you’re on our email list so that you receive the latest information about these programs and other exciting opportunities we will be planning throughout the year. Call our office or visit dmcc.cc to join the mailing list.
Please contact the DMCC office at (858) 792-7565 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on these programs, or to join our mailing list.
