The Del Mar Community Connections’ Volunteer Program strives to enrich the lives of our maturing population by providing activities, services and programs to help them remain living in the homes they love. A team of dedicated volunteers from all walks of life assists DMCC to meet the needs of these folks. Working in full partnership with DMCC staff, these volunteers provide extra services that enhance the quality of life for residents. YOU can be a member of that team! Contact the DMCC office at 858-792-7565 to find out about the variety of volunteer opportunities and make a difference starting today.
DMCC is adding a new program to our monthly schedule of activities. One Monday every month our sprinter bus will take Del Mar Seniors to some of the beautiful locations in San Diego. The Monday Excursions will offer trips to Torrey Pines, Balboa Park, and Kit Carson Park amongst other San Diego locations. This is a great opportunity for socializing with local peers, as well as getting out into the fresh air. The trips will last about three hours. If you are interested in learning more about this activity, and to find out each month when and where the bus will go, please contact the DMCC office at 792-7565 to be added to our mailing list.
Did you know that DMCC loans wheelchair, walkers, canes, crutches and more for temporary needs at no charge to Del Mar Residents? We help a myriad of seniors in their times of need with equipment to help them recover, rehabilitate and get back on their feet. WE NEED YOUR HELP to keep this program going. As our population needs increase we are looking to add to our inventory in order to help as many people as we can. If you have any equipment lying around, please consider donating it to DMCC. Your donation will help our community heal and stay strong.
