In an ongoing effort to be kind to the environment, the Del Mar Farmers Market is now selling reusable shopping bags for only $1! They are high quality and distinctive.

They can be found at the manager’s table in front of the TV station. “Bring a Bag, Borrow a Bag” program is still in effect, as well. No need to worry if you forget your reusable bags!

In other market news, please come and try some of our newest vendors: Italian Pastry, Ice Pops – made from fresh fruit, Greek yogurt and homemade granola and Goat Cheese. Vegan & Gluten Free prepared foods will be offered mid-May.

We are fast approaching summer, which means the market produce will be changing. There’s still plenty of time to enjoy citrus, but the apples are slowly fading out. Right now the organic and pesticide free strawberries from Carlsbad are ripe and delicious. You can also find blueberries, and cherries will arrive next month. The first corn has just come in from Imperial Valley.

The market operates every Saturday 1:00 to 4:00, in the Del Mar City Hall parking lot between 10th and 11th, west of Camino Del Mar. Come often and come hungry! www.delmarfarmersmarket.org
