Supervisor Dave Roberts, who promised during his campaign that he would take the time to listen to citizens and City officials in his district, held the first of a series of Open Houses at the Del Mar Community Building on March 15th.
The casual gatherings, which will take place on the third Friday of each month, give community members a chance to speak directly with Roberts, as well as Chief of Staff John Weil, Policy Advisor Adam Kaye, and other staff members. A separate room is available for private conversations and interviews.
Among the many attendees were former Del Mar Mayors Lou Terrell, Jacqueline Winterer, Don Mosier, and Crystal Crawford, as well as Board Members from the Del Mar Foundation and Del Mar Community Connections.
Roberts was especially pleased to meet residents he didn’t know before. “I just spoke with a man who supported my opponent, Steve Danon. His concerns were water issues, and we had a great talk.” “And,” he added, “this is a great way to show off your beautiful new Community Building.”
